Welcome to River Valley High School!
We are happy to welcome all our students back to school and our Secondary 1 students who are joining us in 2024. Let us make this year one of learning, laughter, and boundless possibilities!
2024 marks the year we celebrate RV 68. The theme of RV68 is 立德树人 共筑未来 (Nurturing & Flourishing). It aptly illustrates our commitment to nurture our students and help them flourish and find purpose in meaningful pursuits.
River Valley High School, a school of opportunities, aims to develop our students holistically into leaders of distinction. Every student has unique strengths and the ability to learn and learn well. Through the robust RV learning experience of exploration, growth, and discovery, our students develop into thinkers, leaders and achievers with good character, bicultural acumen and global perspectives. They can navigate the world confidently, make sense of what is happening and contribute positively to the school, community and country as positive changemakers.
Our students develop knowledge, values and skills that will help them flourish both in school and in the world beyond school. They will hone and develop dispositions, attributes and sensitivities to be able to stay effective and relevant in a globalised and multi-cultural world. As a SAP school, our unique bicultural learning environment provides our students with the fluency and skills to understand, appreciate and navigate different cultural contexts, and acquire regional and global perspectives.
Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to fostering a nurturing and inspiring learning environment. Their guidance, expertise, and passion for teaching are instrumental in shaping the future of our students. RV is also fortunate to have very strong and supportive alumni, parents and partners who are aligned with our vision and mission and who work collaboratively with the school to achieve the desired student outcomes.
The RV seedlings will grow stronger by the day, rooted in goodness and wisdom with branches reaching up and out. They will be fruitful and contribute well. This epitomises RVians of the past, present and future.
Let us forge ahead as we commemorate RV 68 and build a promising future for our students in the years to come!

2024年是立化创校68周年。身为一所历史悠久、华文底蕴浓郁的学府，立化本着立德树人的理念，提供优质的教育，悉心培育立化幼苗，让他们蓬勃发展，达成有意义的人生目标。
立化不仅具备特选和自治的身份，也开办六年直通车课程，为学生提供全人教育，给予无限学习机遇。我们深信每一位学生都有其独特优势，都有能力学得更好。通过我校心智合一的均衡教育，立化学子的兴趣所长将得以拓展，身心健康得以强化，在巩固学习知识和技能的同时，性情秉性和价值观得以培养，能自信地面对未来，成为国家的中流砥柱。
多年来，立化培育了无数对世界格局具有洞悉力及敏感性的双语双文化人才，在全球化、多元种族和多元文化的环境中游刃有余，发挥有效作用。在立化双语双文化环境的熏陶下，学生能自信地驾驭跨文化交流技能，鉴赏和理解跨文化语境，以此培养他们的区域和全球视角。
立化的老师敬业乐业，致力于营造积极快乐的学习氛围，启发学生努力向上。他们兢兢业业、孜孜不倦，悉心地为学生解惑，给予适当的指导，用爱心去鼓励和关怀学生，耐心地培养他们成才。
当然，除了老师们的努力与付出，立化有今日的成就，也包括了校友们对母校发展的关心、家长们对学校的支持与配合，也不忘记为立化奠定稳固基础的历任校长们。
在立化的沃土上，我们种下的幼苗植根于优良的品德与智慧，他们将日渐茁壮，结成累累硕果，茁长成有尊严诚信、善良有爱心，愿意奉献的积极变革者。
